I have had the 4200c for less than 2 months now. The lamp now stays on all the time...i have downloaded the lamp control patch and ran it but it did not work. I am also having problems with the 3 buttons on the scanner. When i put a page in to scan and press the scan button, the light turns from green to orange and does nothing. The only way to start a scan is to go into progams and click start a new scan. Please help if u can.

brett,

Before you apply any patches, make sure you close all running exe files that autostarts for the scanner.I think it´s
stimon.exe,Hplamp.exe,do a ctrl-alt-del to bring up the active programs menu,I think you can see what to do from there.
I have done this several times without a hassle.Good luck to ya.
