Bought a Mac LC II with personal laser writer. Don't know anything about Macs. Printer cable was a little round cable. When I try to print from Word, I get a printer error 28. Any ideas

That printer is using a serial connection which is what the little round plug doohickey is. Your print problems could be due to several issues.

1) you dont have the correct driver for that printer installed from your system disks.
2) MSWord is in need of a fresh install (imagine that).
3) Your entire system needs a new OS...Especially relevant if you havent given it a fresh system since you aquired it.
