Hi from France,

I need you to solve a bizarre problem.
The last year, I have partionned my HD of 1.2 GO in 500 MO and 538 MO.
Today, I need to retrieve my original HD of 1.2 GO.
So, I create a boot disk, I restart my PC, and I execute fdisk.
I delete the 2 logical drive in extended part.
When I want to delete the extended part, fdisk say me:
"Impossible, 2 logical drive in extended part."
When I return in menu "Delete extended part or logical" fdisk say me:
"No logical drive in extended part."
If I want to delete the primary dos part, I get:
"Impossible, there's an extended part with 2 logical drive".

What are you think of it ??

debug the MBR to delete all partition information

Prompt    What to Type
-         FCS:200 400 0
-         RAX
AX 0000   0301
-         RBX
BX 0000   0600
-         RCX
CX 0000   0001
-         RDX
DX 0000   0080
-         E100 CD 13
-         P
-         Q

then use fdisk to recreate the partitions.  obviously, any data will be lost.

what you see          what you type

this is all done after rebooting to MS-DOS mode or to a boot disk.

ok, yes reboot with boot disk and type debug, then hit enter

you will see a "-".  type FCS:200 400 0 and hit enter
you will see a "-", type RAX and hit enter
you will see "AX 0000", type  0301  and hit enter
you will see "- ", type RBX and hit enter
you will see "BX 0000", type 0600 and hit enter
you will see "-", type RCX and hit enter
you will see "CX 0000", type 0001 and hit enter
you will see "-", type RDX and hit enter
you will see "DX 0000", type 0080 and hit enter
you will see "-", type E 100 CD 13 and hit enter
you will see "-", type P and hit enter
you will see "-", type Q and hit enter
