I have some problem interfacing Excel in VC application.   The
requirement in my project is to create and manipulate Excel files
without bringing Excel up.  Using OLE dispatch interface I have written
a DLL,  exposing a class, that supports my application for doing the
same.  But the problem is,  it sets a limitation of having Excel
installed on the PCs where I am running my application.   I don't want
to expect the end user who is using my application, to have Excel
installed in his PC.  My exposed interfaces to create, read or write to
the Excel file does not work if the target PC does not have Excel
installed.

If you use Excel OLE objects  to work with Excel files then you MUST have installed excel on client machines.

If this is not an option you can try to manage excel files trhough ODBC, DAO or ADO. However you will not be able to use all capabilities which Excel objects offer

I'm not sure it will be easy to find these dependencies. But even if you can find them, it is not legal to redistribute them to your clients. It is very likely that you will need the excel.exe also.
