Audio into telephone

We are using FMP 4 (soon to be upgraded) in the form of a contact manager template. We can dial through the modem. What we would like to do is find a hardware/software solution that would allow us to play one of several sound clips we have recorded in simple sound. More accurately is there anyway to either add the clips to FMP and play them through the modem after it reaches an answering machine, or some way to connect the audio out on our G4 to a telephone. So far we just put the receiver next to the speaker which isn't a good solution.

There is no way to plug audio IN into a modem without a voice modem and that only works for special headsets built for the modem.

You cant play sound through a modem either unless you patch a mono 1/8" jack into the handset of a telephone then plug that into the stereo out on your computer. Modems just werent built to handle this sort of thing. You still have the issue of getting FMP to recognize when an answering machine has been reached which is well beyond the capabilities of all but the most expensive telemarketing software. Youre going to be out of luck unless you purchase a whole new system specifically built for telemarketing and its very unlikely that it will use a FM database. Hate to be the bearer of bad news.
