How can I access/monitor the NT Event Logs using VB? What I would like to do is monitor for a certain event id and if found then......log, alert etc etc.

Any help would be great.

Please note, I do not want any 3rd party apps that have this functionality. I am looking for some VB code or a control that will do this.

look in http://www.netfokus.dk/vbadmincode/codevb.html for the eventlog section, there are sample projects for reading and writing to the NT event log there.
