IIS Security Problem

I have a window 2000 Professional Edition and have a Personal Web Server
but i am not able to get my default page when i try to access through my Browser.(i get Acces Denied message )

There must be something in the services or any thing which i don't know.
Please help me getting my Default page in my browser

you might want to check the security setting for the files in your inetpub directory.  I've recently struggled with this very issue and here's the steps I took to solve it:

1.  Check permissions on the files in your inetpub\wwwroot directory.  Make sure that the anonymous internet user has read permissions to those files.

2.  Check to make sure that default.asp is ok as a default file type.  You might want to see if you can create an index.html file and see if that will come up.

3.  If these fail you might want to uninstall iis and reinstall.
