Use Microsoft Word frequently.
Novice with computers.
Keep receiving message "Cannot find c/Programfiles/Microsoft Office/Clipart/Office/etc.
DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE TO INSTALL MICROSOFT OFFICE, TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS FUNCTION???

Open word
go to menu bar and click on "Insert"
scoll to "Picture"

From there you should have other choices
one of them being "clip art"

click it and if you dont have choices of clip art,
then put your office cd in the drive and
browse to it to open the folder on the cd that has the art.

You can always copy that folder from the cd  to your drive.

Thanks for the response.
My computer is only 9 months old.
Came loaded with Win.'98.  Don't have a CD to insert.
Where do I go from here??
Do I need to install Microsoft Office to run the Clip Art Pictures??

No, you can use any clipart from any cd
or downloaded files from the internet or...

basically from anywhere, you just need to point the program to where they are, which is anywhere in your computer or any one of the drives.

You propably have a lot on your hard drive that you're not aware of.

go start/find/files and folders

in the find box enter these extensions as typed, one at a time and hit find.

Read where those files are and do some exploring.

*.jpg

*.bmp

*.pcx

these are just some common ones.

*.wmf  is the format that comes with office.

dont be hesitant to check out any folder on the hard drive, including the MS Office
You'll get to recognize pictures pretty quick.

Double click on them and they'll open.

Clipart cd s are fairly inexpensive to purchase,  generally well under $10

Good luck and have fun.
