outlook spell  check problem

outlook express 5 spell checker has stopped working on my friends computer. So that when it is used it gives
 'Spell check was halted' alarm
any suggestions?

well that wasn't necessary, still wait to see if it does solve the problem..."lock a Q while working on it" a  good one :O)

Sorry to take so long to get any response to both of you. My friend is unavailable at the moment, so I cant tell you if any of your answers/comments work. As soon as I can I will throw the points in the ring! Thanks for prompt responses folks. TTFN scrounger

NO joking, spell check works great, I just have to get my brother-in-law to write something interesting!!!
