Modem's speaker

How can I enable my modem's speaker so I can hear it dialing and connecting.
(you know the dial tone and than all the beeps)

-Double click My Computer
-double click Dial Up Networking
-Right Click the connection you want to hear
-Left click properties
-In the connect using dialog box - click Configure
-Slide the volume control to the desired level.
