ScanJet 330C and Windows 2000

How can I work with my HP scanner under Windows 2000? I can´t find drivers for it...!

It is not on the official HP list on their web site.  Therefore, unless someone discovers a way, there is none.

As a side note is won't do much good to ask why in this forum.  There are no HP reps who answer questions here and this is not the place to get a response from HP.

If you'd like to contact them see here for all the info - http://www.hp.com/ghp/assist/general.html.

So, briancassin, are you telling me you have it on some good authority (read from HP and from someone who would know - like a R&D engineer) that there will be drivers for this scanner in Win2K?

Also, please tell me why your "answer" is more of an answer than mine.  Both merely provide a statement that no driver exists and voice complaint to HP.

smyth - I apologize for this interlude.  I am not sure you have any more of a solution from either of us.  That's because a solution for you question does NOT exist, and it appears from information on the HP web site that it will NOT exist.
because your statement it not entirely true johlari   i have heard they are working on drivers or planning on testing them.
briancassin - heard from who?  That one guy that posted he got it from a HP manager when he called the corporate office?  That's not a good answer.  They would not necessarily be in a position to know.  HP has ~80,000 employees and there are probably only a handful that would know and they won't be in the corporate office.  They would be in the manufacturing division.

Therefore, you are stating something based off hearsay.  The best we can do in this forum is to provide answers for those questions that have established technical answers or troubleshooting tips for those problems that have no known answers.  What you just provided based off hearsay is incorrect and provides no help or real assistance to anyone.  You're just repeating rumors.

I work at a printer company myself if there is enough complaints to corporate office with threats to return the scanner then they will most liekly make a driver but first they are going to quantify the need once they do that then it goes under development phase.
