Report Designer Tool for Outlook

Outlook provides very weak tools for customising printed reports. You can change header, page number ... But users often require much more. For example, they wanted to see user-defined fields in Memo style. The desision we are using now is to connect Access tables to Outlook and then create reports in Access. But, maybe, somebody knows a better solution ? - may be an external tool, COM add-in , etc.

I'm happy to repost, but I think you can just designate any comment as an answer.

The best solution, IMO, is to use Word or Excel as the print engine, creating a custom template and pushing the data from Outlook into the template. See http://www.slipstick.com/dev/customprint.htm for more info.
