Win98 rediscovers C2520A on reboot
We have a HP ScanJet 4c that was added to a Win 98 2nd Ed system with a new SCSI card from AdvanSys( 915T/ASB3940UAT). The drivers for the SCSI installed fine. Hp DeskScan II 2.8 installed fine also. Our problem is that when Win98 reboots, it discovers an HP 2520A scanner and loads the drivers. After it loads the drivers it rediscovers it again and again i.e. it is in a infinite loop reloading this driver. If you kill that tasks and get into the systems' device tab, there will be multiple 2520A loaded. By deleting all the extra copies, the scanner works fine until the system needs to be rebooted again. Then Win98 start the rediscover loop again. Can anyone help us on stopping this Win98 rediscover loop?
Have you tried different SCSI IDs? I'd try them all except 7.

That was it. Thanks.
The Scanner was set to SCSI ID number 7. After change the ID number to 2 everything works great including rebooting windows.
