There is a command called Load Variables (a sub-command of Load Movie). You can load the variables into a movie clip or just into your movie and use them any way you want.

Just specify the ASP or CGI script to call and you're done!

You could do it this way.
Create text box variables in flash, place them in the movie however you'd like. Perform the load variables action in the frame prior to displaying the textbox. For the url, in the load variable dialog type in the asp page that will contain the information that you will need displayed in flash. The asp should be set up to output text in the following format:
date=02/17/2000&name=John Smith&salary=$25,000

This can be achieved by response.writes and concatinating the information into that format. The date, name, and salary will need to be the variable names of the text boxes in flash. This asp page that displays the information will never be displayed to the user on  the web. Its sole purpose is to move data into flash.
