windows 95 startup

when i boot up windows, shows the win95 screen then cuts to dos which says YOU CAN NOW SAFELY TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF
PRESS CTRL+ALT+DEL TO RESTART WINDOWS
how can i get to dos without a boot disk

Have you changed anything before this happened. as in auto exec.bat or the registry?

If you have a boot floppy try booting from it and at the A prompt type SYS C:

During startup, press the "F8" key. This will give you a list of menu choices, and you can select "DOS prompt" from that menu.


Make sure you press F8, just when you get the "starting Windows" message.

During startup, press the "F8" key.
I think properly choice after F8: Command promt only

after loading windows
choice
reload in dos mode emulation
i dont know maybe
F6 in startup gived you loading bypass your startup files
its not exactly
