Outlook 2K hangs on calendar item access

I have some items in  my Outlook 2K Calendar that I want to delete. But when I access one of those items with a Right-Click I get the following error message:

"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."

Then click OK to repsond to the message and Outlook hangs. I need to use the Task Manager to terminate Outlook.

I suspect some problem with the specific calendar item because there are no problems with other calendar items, and can manage other calendar functionality (add new items, etc.) without problems.

How can I delete these suspect items? Since normal UI access to delete these items causes Outlook to hang.
1 Solution
Try this:
Quit all mail-aware programs. This includes all Microsoft Office programs and
e-mail clients. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later, and
follow these steps to set Outlook as your default e-mail program:
1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. On the Programs tab, in the E-mail list, click to select Microsoft Outlook.
   Do not click Outlook Express.
3. Click OK.

Thanks. Now I can see the error (duplicate items) and delete/correct the situation. Nice Tip.
