I have a Adobe photoshop 5.o. I am trying to create a pushed in text. Here is what I did.
1. Open a new document with 200by200 and fill it with a color and type a text.
2.Make a new layer. Here , it asks me whether it should be a copy of the original layer ,i clicked yes.
3. I want to save this selection. That is go to select and say saveselection.
I dont see the save selecttion highlighted. Why is this? How do I see the save selection.

Could any body give me tips and step by step guide as to how to do it.

Saved selections are saved as an alpha channel in your channels pallet. To RESELECT that selection command-click on that channel and your selection will be back.

Create new layer (layer 2)
Type text on layer 2
Command-click on layer 2 to make selection
Go to menu "Select->Save selection" Leave dialog at defaults and click ok.
Go to channels pallet.
