Hi, I recently purchased a microphone that is constantly on.  As long as I have my speakers on, the microphone is on.  How do I keep my speakers on, but turn the microphone off when I'm not using it?

Double click on the loudspeaker icon in your tray and click on the microphone mute box.
That should do it.

Her'es how to temporarily turn off the Microphone when your not using it -- I hate it when I have mine echoing when I am talking through my speakers:

1.) Double-click your Yellow Speaker icon in the System Tray in the taskbar on the lower right hand corner.

2.) In the Microphone Column, uncheck the box labeled 'Select'

3.) Close Volume Control and your Mic should now be off.

If you need any more help, please let me know -- im more than happy to assist :)
