i'm almost certain this is what is wrong. you are viewing the flash movie in netscape, but with the flash 3 player and not the flash 4 player.

the default sound compression in flash 4 is mp3, which is a new feature not understood by the older flash 3 player. so, the sound disappears.

your ie browser is configured with the flash 4 player, but netscape needs to be updated as well.

to see what version of flash player is installed in netscape, right click (pc) or control-click (mac) on the movie in the browser window, and see the last line on the context menu. should tell you something. :>)

Yeah, you are right. I checked it was flash 3 version in Netscape.

But still there is one prob occuring, if u can solve this then the points will be yours.

I uploaded my movie on tripod server, its working properly, but when I uploded my movie on

www.wcws.net/aan/

the movie is not working in netscape. A broken plugin icon appear everytime. What does it mean. IS there any server problem or i forgot to write anything in my html coding?

yes, i can solve this problem. there are actually two problems.

1. the mime type has not been set properly on the server. for the .SWF file, it should be set to "application/x-shockwave-flash". this will cause the browser to not interpret the flash files - that's why you get prompted to get a new plug-in. netscape is much more sensitive to mime-type issues than ie.

2. http://www.wcws.net/aan/Enter.swf

this url won't work because for whatever reason, it's case sensitive. if you use a lowercase "e" for Enter.swf, the movie will show up.

additionally - hey, no OBJECT tag??
