Communication from Applet to HTML Page

I need to make information captured in an applet available to the HTML page so that when a user presses a submit button, information from within my applet is merged with other information on the page and sent to the server. Is this possible?

As far as I know, there is no way to communicate with HTML.
A. An applet can invoke methods defined in Javascript on the page it was loaded from  (but I don't know Javascript, so I don't know whether it's possible to send something to a server from Javascript).
B. Javascript can call public methods in the applet that is found on the same page as the Javascript. You can use that to gather information from the page, give it to the applet, and have the applet send everything to the server.

If you want to know how to do either, post a comment :-)

That's all I need thanks - I can use Javascript to get at the public methods of my applet - once I've got that far I think the rest will be easy

Thanks for your help
