AT this stage SCSI is fastre than USB so there is no reason to want to use USB at this stage. You have a choice of Deskscan or p/scan.<br />
Deskscan (sj166en.exe) is ugly and simple but does the trick. P/scan (sj272en.exe) is a lot more user friendly. Both will work under win98 with your SCSI card sj5p<br />

I have recently bought a computer (win98)which supports USB. I used my HP scanjet 5p on my older computer(win95) using the SCSI card that came with it. Is there a cable available that would connect it to my computers USB port or do I still need to use the card,only I'm having &nbsp;problems installing it. &nbsp;
