I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book for using dreamweaver? Also which is better, Dreamweaver or Frontpage?

Thanks

I'd recommend "Dreamweaver 3 for Windows and Macintosh" for the "Visual Quickstart Guide" series.  It's short, detailed and to the point allowing you to learn Dreamweaver quickly and completely.  In addition it's only $20.00, a heck of a lot cheaper than most computer books.

Dreamweaver 2 Bible is a good resource, although I recommend just diving in and using the resources available to you on the web (i.e. Experts-Exchange, Macromedia, Webmonkey).

Also, having used both I prefer Dreamweaver 3 over Frontpage 2000. The learning curve for DW is a lot steeper than FP but once you start using it you will find that you can do a lot more in DW than you could ever do FP.

DW's code is cleaner. It only uses standard languages so you don't have to verify whether or not your server has the proper extensions.  DW also has better support for cross platform production.

Hope these comments help.

Dreamweaver v3.0 is without dough the better overall tool compared with FrontPage 2000.

An excellent Dreamweaver book is:
