One thing to look at is even though Windows 2000 sets up the USB port and sees the 3300cse scanner ( I also have one, running a HP Pavilion) you will notice in devices that there is not a signature. The best I can dicern at this point is that if Windows saw it as a legitimate device, there would also be that signature. I know thats not much help, but I think it needs to be there. &nbsp;SOOOOOO, Microsoft and/or HP needs to get it together and address USB connections, I like Windows 2000 for the most part but peripheral support is in the tank !!!

A driver installation via HP´s Setup routine isn´t possible. But you can install the driver via the inf file supplied on the driver disk. 3300 runs well under admin account, but doesn´t under other accounts.
