If you are using ActiveX controls in a web page, how do you know what methods are available from the control to move data to and from the object? If there is no documentation for the control how can you dynamically pass data to and from it? I'd like to use the control aong with some scripting to get information from a user and update other controls on the page but don't understand how to access data or even dynamically change default settings that are displayed on the control.

If you dont have corresponding documents for this activex control, you'd try to browser it by tools like OLE-COM object viewer accompanied with VC or harder view it by programming through TYPE LIBRARY's coresponding Interfaces manually(not a trivial task!) .
However, this needs the Activex contains a type library by whatever means(through .tlb or contained inn .dll as resource).
Otherwise,You have no way:(

Activex like a black-box.You'v got to have info describing them.

Even Microsoft's common ActiveX controls have no real method documentation? I can't fill in nodes of a tree control? Extract data from an Excel spreadsheet control?
