I did it, but I got an error saying cannot use separator bar for the name of this menu. I pasted it in with text1 set to multiline and menu named mnu (visible unchecked) and submen named submnu. Is there more to do?

Oh, sorry, forgot - you have to set index in submnu=0 at menu editor. If this doesn't help, I'll send you full working example
Cheers

I had the index set, I forgot to indent the submenu. How did you guy get so good at this? School, or just doing it all the time.

Hi
The best way to study to do smth is to do it :-). When now I'm looking at my old programms on QickBasic and first attempts on VB - they are awfull. Programming is not my job - I'm a lecturer of Navigation at Marine Academy in Vladivostk, Russia - it's my hobby. Soon you can develop very good app - the best teacher is practice and VB is easy to study. When you understend VB IDE, Forms and controls, you'll need API programming - this is more difficult. If you have any question - you are welcome, you know my e-mail address. If I can not help (I don't know everything :-)) - you can ask experts.
PS About mpeg compression - I still can not solve this problem - it needs much more work around, that simply remove 128 bytes. You can play one file by one, but I don't know, how to merge them.
