Strange Color Configurations
Changed out the empty color cartridge in my Epson Stylus 440 ink jet and installed a nice new, full one.
Now the printer prints in what almost looks like "negative" quality, except that lots of color is used. It makes for some psychedellic print jobs, including the black and white ones.
How do I kick this thing in the butt and get it back to printing things nicely like it used too?

Check the Black cartridge on the printer. Sounds like you might need to replace that too.

Dear Celtics:
Thanks so much for the good advice! Although the "dummy light" indicated that BOTH cartridges were full, it was lying! When I tried adding a fresh black cartridge, my printer went back to producing beautiful copy.
I'm very happy!
