HelpDesk - rate Caltraker, Wonderdesk, others?
I'm still looking for a Helpdesk programme applicable to libraries;
we would like it (minimum requirements) to accept our identification (e.g. student number),
track by student no. and/or name,
send automatic acknowledgemtnt,
interface with other systems (e.g. those storing (our) student nos.)
store responses, and archive them
Caltraker, Wonderdesk, QRC are being looked at; if anyone has any experience with any of these, please get in touch?
If you know of superior programmes, please let me know!!
Remedy.com has not got the answer to what we want to do, as far as I can see from their public site.
So, please, any other suggestions?

Remedy at http://www.remedy.com is a very flexible development system which has some "out of the box" applications available. Primarily used as a Help Desk, it is easy to create applications which track anything - people, items, projects, etc. Remedy is a leader in the Help Desk industry and has a strong customer base.

It is highly flexible - it runs on a variety of platforms with a variety of database servers, the client tools run on a variety of platforms and there is a web client available also. The data can import and export with any ODBC software and there are lots of product integrations available. It's been pretty easy to connect up to our existing systems and once it's deployed it's been stable and reliable.
