Can't access a previously saved 'pst' file

I saved a large pst file onto a CD several months ago so I could go in and clean out my folders, thereby reducing the hard-drive space usage.  When I try to access this pst file I use FILE/OPEN/"PERSONAL FOLDERS FILE (.PST)" then point to the CD drive to select the pst file.  However, I get the error message:
"Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use."

I click "OK" then get the message:
"The file D:\xxxxxx.pst could not be accessed.  Access is denied."

Can anyone help?

Thanks pyleo!  It works!  I copied the .pst and .pab files over, checked off the "read only" property for both, then was able to open it from Outlook.  I tried this with 2 different archived files from different dates and both worked.

Thanks for the help - this service is great!!
