schematic for rj45

I am making an rj45 cable for work. Is there a universal color code for this or do I just have to make sure that both ends are the same on pins 1 thru 8 in the plug?

no, there is an order.

They need to be the same on each end to make a normal cable, like for a PC to a hub.
