I recently had problems reinstalling an HP-5p after upgrading to Win98.  Thanks to EE I got it done.
Now however, scanned images come up with a yellow band along the right side about 1/4 in from the edge.  Images are also darker than before.
Can anybody help?

When you colour problems with the 5P, especially blue or yellow lines it points to a hardware problem. Usually the caridge is in need of alignment or replacement. I would call HP and talk to them cause most likely the y will book it in for a repair.
