Redistributing MFC run-time.

I have application that needs distribution of just a couple of PCs.
I need to install the run-time dll for VC++ 6.0 but I cannot just copy in the MFC42.dll etc because these file are in use. Is there an install program or some way of upgrading these run-time files?
