Iwould like to have my flash movie play in a smaller browser window when the user selects the link to the flash.html it pop up a small window for the flash movie. I'm using Flash 4.0

You will need to use javascript:

Try this,

<a href="javascript:window.open('http://www.blah.com/flash.html','windowname','width=270,height=380')">click here for flash movie in new window</a>

change
http://www.blah.com/flash.html
to the location of your flash html

change
width=270
to whatever width you want the window to be (in pixels), same for height.

and that's it...
