I have a user that gets the error message, "The MAPI Spooler has shut down unexpectedly. Close all mail-enabled applications before attempting to log on again", whenever she opens Oulook. Because of this she is unable to receive mail.

Anyone have any idea?

Outlook 97, 98, 2000?

Try this anyway:

1) Reinstall, if that doesn't help, proceed to 2.

2) control panel - email - profiles - delete all unused profiles - edit the delivery location in her profile to "none", start outlook and confirm yes. Shutdown outlook, change it back to her PST-file (or what she's using)

One of those two options should help, if it doesn't, look at microsofts site for servicepacks to your current outlook version, or consider upgrading to a newer version.
