Win200 duplicate name on network

Have an existing lan with Win98SE. Installed win2000. Now can't get network to work. Error mesage, "duplicate name exists on network" 98se works fine, (dual booting).

Check your computer name with names of other computers on your network. No two computers can have the same name on a network.

This is true but the duplicate was a name on a dual boot which confused things for awhile.
