Embedding of view (R5)

I am creating a web page and I want to embed a view on a page from another database on the same server.Will this be possible? If yes, how do you do it in R5?And also if it is on a different server will this be allowed?

It is not possible to embed the view from another database.  Notes does not provide you with the ability to point the view to another database.  It will always check the current database for the view that is named.

There is a workaround.  The easiest way that I know how is for you to use frames and have one frame referencing a document in another database while the rest of your page is referencing the current database.  Basically, your web page will show two databases on it.  You will run into problems with interaction between the view and the rest of the page but some clever javascript and/or agents can fix that.
