when i retrieve data from the memo field, it doesn't show the linebreak .. the sentences are join together. How can i retrieve the details with linebreaks?

i have a column with type date/time and the format is short time. how do i issue an insert statement?

e.g. temp= '12:00'
sql = "insert into table ('" & temp & "')"

the above sql gave me an error.

The memo field is correct but think that when you retrieve it the newline character (vbcrlf) has no meaning in a HTML context. You should search for each vbcrlf and replace then with a <br>

The correct sentence for insert is:

sql="insert into table (datecolum) (#" & temp & "#)

myMemo = rs("memofield")
myMemo = replace(myMemo, chr(13), "<BR>")
response.write myMemo

sql = "insert into table (fieldname) values ('" & temp & "')"

sql = "insert into table (fieldname) values (#" & temp & "#)"
