Sounblaster 64Gold..can't record

Am running win98 on PentMMx@200 mhz / 64 mg ram. I recently upgraded to win98 and now I cannot record from the 'line in' on my sndblaster 64Gold soundcard. The mic input works fine...just the line in won't record from the cd or any tape deck or radio (worked fine before!!). Any way to test the card to see if the proceeor's blown, or could it be drivers? I've reinstalled all creative software and sound edit programs and still no go.

It could be the drivers. Try downloading the latest set from Creative's web site. If that still doesn't work...did you set the volume controls for line-in recording correctly? There is no way to test whether the line-in jack is blown but it happens.
