hi ptmcomp,
i am not german (i guess you realize ;-)
i just think the translations are interesting.
most if the sentences in english do not make sense to an english native?
do they mean the same thing as the german sentences?

for example:

The (Edited by Computer101)-Fork
is this meaning a broken fork?

ie in english "(Edited by Computer101)" is slang/swear for several things like
bad
broken
doesnt work very well
etc..

So A Piggery
dont understand this one too well.
it siounds like "a messy place"
 (or untidy place)

The Falling Umbrella Jumper
a parachutist maybe, hehe i guess not?

Hi, Ptmcomp
where have you it master ?
I dignity gladly self shut that site go.
bit harder or ?

Hi, Barry
quite good, 2 of 3 .

the (Edited by Computer101)-Fork is a pitchfork
(you probably daily feel like a skydiver landing on a binary data dunghill and cleaning up all the mess around you with one, he, he)

well,
i'd like to see any examples vice versa,
means, english idioms translated word by word into german
an old one is
it's raining cats and dogs  -  es is regnend Katzen und Hunde

perhaps someone could give me an appropriate url

cheers
Indi

was ist das denn, -5 oder wieder einmal die Internet Kürzelsprache, Madshi ?
Bei letzterem würde mich mal eine allgemeine Einführung anhand eines entsprechenden Links oder Comments stark interessieren, um nicht auch in Zukunft etwas rat- oder sprachlos den Dingen gegenüberstehen zu müssen.
Danke auch schön im Voraus für jedweden Kommentar!

( Irgendwelche Ressentiments to this q, Mike ? )

auch sonst gilt hier wohl

Si tacuisses, philosophus mansisses

das scheint leider aus vielerlei Gründen die Devise zu sein

typisch deutsch,
gähn

hi schwarztod,

for this is the link reload question on the page, because the browser sends the input again if you use the reload feature.

für dieses ist die Verbindung zurückladen Frage an der Seite, weil der Blätterer sendet die Einlage wieder, wenn du brauchst das zurückladen Grundzug.

meikl :-))
