Temperature Monitoring your Hardware

I have a Abit BX6 motherboard.  It supports temperature hardware monitoring and I have "motherboard monitor" software installed as well.  I get a system temp reading, but nothing for the CPU.  It just doesn't register.  Do I need to connect a cable someplace or configure something different in the BIOS?  Or do these boards only support a general system temp reading???

Mark,
As stated at this website it is not supported.  This is the maker of the software.

Good luck.

The BX6 is a SLOT 1 motherboard, right? This means it won't have a thermistor (temperature-measuring device) fitted to measure the CPU temperature, because there's nowhere on the motherboard you could easily measure this from. You'd have to buy a compatible thermistor and fit it to the CPU cartridge yourself. If you're not having problems, I wouldn't bother!
