Small Screens

Hi:

Normally my ordinary programs' screens, like browsers, email clients, even Windows Explorer screen, that is, I mean, any one, worked for me with full screens. After I changed my monitor from 14 to 15 inches, all the programs' screens come small and I have to maximize all of them. Does anyone know the reason and what should I do to correct it?

no idea on the reason, but you could try right clicking the desktop icon and choosing properties, and then under the shortcut tab, where it says Run : change from normal window (if this is the setting) to maximised window.

this hopefully should start the apps with a maximised window.

Try changing the monitor settings themselves.  You will find that most 15 inch monitors have screen adjustments to enable the screen length and width to change.  This should solve your problem.

Open the offending application, maximize the window (make it full screen), then save (if applicable), then close the window.  This will make the application open full screen next time you open it.
This works with Explorer, Internet Explorer, and many other programs.
