I'm buying a Dell Inspiron 7500 and will be taking it to the Middle East or Asia. Will the modem it comes with be sufficient or do I need to buy one of those "global modems" such as 3Com's Global Modem PC Card? Thanks

Hi Thomjay

Basically, the telephone companies overseas have their equipment bought from western companies such as Nortel and Alcatel.  Therefore, the modem will work. I know a plenty of cases of traveling along with the modem.  No problems as far as I know.

Regards

Sasson.
