Different internet-mail-addresses

You can have the memo "reply to" a different name than the original sender but changing the "From" field to a name other than who you really are is considered spoofing and not appropriate.  A better (and more ethical) way is to use your Location Docs and have the Doc switch IDs for you.  This is the same amount of effort as clicking on a field and switching User Names.

Why not Scenario:
Joe User decides he does not like Fellow Employee so Joe sends an e-mail to Head Fred and say !@#$*& and many other explicitives then says this is "From" Fellow Employee.  Not a good design "feature" to have unless you are up to no good.

i'm using a standalone system and need to send from different internet email addresse cause i'm admin of different domains, so its not a "feature" some else could use. its just for me and if this doesnt work, i will have to change to another email client. this would be very sad cause i like LN.

changing ids doesnt work for me cause i cannot create new ids.

Notes R5 can do multiple email accounts.  Using Location Docs and Account Docs this can be attained.  Explain to me exactly what you want to happen and I'll be able to give you a more descriptive answer.

i want two things:
1. if i write a new memo, i'd like to have a selection box, which lets me choose the email-address for the from entry. like this:
1.opt: email@server.com (Martin Schwoerer)
2.opt: email2@server2.com (Martin Schwoerer)
and so on.

2. if i recieve a mail and answer it, the from field should be filled with the address the original mail was pointed to (not absolute necessary)

i dont use notesmail, just internet mail

You should be able to modify the "principal" field (in R5) to have displayed any address you wish.

I would suggest modifying your mail file to include the princiapal field as a selection field (radio or pulldown) and check the form for any automatic validation of that field and you should be good to go.

i added the field and this didnt change anything. could you tell me where the error correction is done and where the InetFrom field is calculated.
