Please show me the code necessary to create a VB app that will reveal the URL that either IE or Netscape browser is currently on, running on the same machine. The app needs to change what it says (textbox) as the browser switches URLs.

Hi

These two links contain code that will allow you to do what you want.

To recognise changes to the URL, simply add a timer control to your project (with an interval of one second) that will check the current URL.

-------------------
Description: This small application uses DDE (Dynamic data exchange) and the WWW_GetWindowInfo to retrieve the Window title and url being displayed in either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer. It works for all versions of Internet Explorer > 3.0. Note: This code is not dependent on the FindWindow Api call (which is the often used but unreliable method).

-----------------
Description: Gets the URL string from the ie browser edit window. This also works in access97 vba. I put it in one subroutine to keep things simple and easy to read.

Perfect Thanks!
By the way, it looks like you found that on a source that may have lots of such suggestions. Can you tell me where that is for the future?
