I have never had to do any form of reporting from within VB. What do you find to be the best reporting tools to use?
Access style reports are what i am looking for. Basically they will be data based plus possibily i would like to involve some sort of letter mail merging capability into my program. I've done this in access using word but in a stand alone package i dont want to be linking to word! :)

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

I have done both of what you are referring to.  I use VB6 and have created apps with Crystal reports embedded in the application.  I have used Crystal reports that are not embedded within the application.  And I have populated Word documents using VB and ADO data (form letter stuff).  I would be more than willing to give you ideas, direction, sample apps, etc.   Just let me know...
