The HSP56 MicroModem doesn't have voice capabilities. It's not suitable for voice-mail applications such as Call Attendant. You'll need to purchase a modem that says "Data/Fax/VOICE" on the package to be certain that it can handle voice-mail.

As an example, the Diamond SupraExpress 56i SP at http://209.10.46.176/ is a great modem with all the features you'll need. Of course there are others but I've had great success with Diamond's products.

If you do decide to replace your HSP56 modem, be sure to completely uninstall all of its software before you install your new modem. Check for a readme.txt file or something similar that might detail the exact steps necesarry to remove it from your system. Sometimes these software-based modems leave lingering bits of themselves in your system that can be a real headache.

Good luck.
