Microsoft Word 96 Text Disappears

Document is typed, user scrolls down the page, then scrolls back up only to find the text (except for the title) has disappeared from view.  The document prints in full so the text is not gone, just invisible.  Any ideas?

Hi Ceschult,

You surely meant Word 97 ?
Maybe this article explains the behaviour you describe
