Consumer web design software

Hi,

I am a consumer who wants to build a webpage. I have a mac and a pc.

I want to be able to do the following:

Edit and Add: Text-Sound-Pictures-Moving Images-Animation to my web page

I want the software to be user friendly

What is the most user friendly software that is able to excute the above?

The best one (with no background) is either FrontPage or NetObject Fusions...
FP has books available on it (make sure the books you get are from Microsoft Press as they are the best ones in this topic)  NetObjects Fusion is very easy to use but I don't think there are books any updated books on Netobjects Fusion (last version the books are on is 3) and Netobjects is upto version 5.

Dreamweaver has a little more of a learning curve but is really good and powerful.  It gives you more flexibility once you get more familiar with web development.  There are books on it that are good.
