While installing setup from package and deployment of vb6 the following error occures:
an erro occured while registering file c:\windows\system\expsrv.dll
the setup programs creates an exe file, but with no extention, so I have to manually change the extention to "exe" so the program will work...any one can help me with that problem?

In the folder where you created the CAB file, there should be a folder called support.  In that folder, look for the exe file.  If it doesn't have an exe extension, then try compiling it in VB6 before you package it.  You should be able to click File and notice toward the bottom a make whatever.exe. Click it and your whatever.exe should be created.

Your setup package contains Expsrv.dll version 6.0.0.8268 or earlier.
  The setup package is attempting to register Expsrv.dll. Version 6.0.0.8268 is not a  self-registering file. However, it includes the resource tag OLESelfRegister, which indicates  that it is a self-registering file

Download serverpack 3 and it wont give you the error
