greetings.!
i have win98. in the 'Find' thing from the 'Start' button; at the first tab 'Name & Location'; the first line is called "Named" where i type in what i'm looking for. at the R/ of the space i type into is a 'down arrow' that shows a history (buffer) of 10 things i have previously searched for.
 - -  here is my QUESTION:
how do i increase this buffer (or history list; please tell me what the correct name of 'this' is) to around 100 or so?
           thanX verY mucH.!!

Alan, What you wish to change is known as a  "drop down list box". The size of these are set in code with the program. You would have to rewrite the code for the size of the box. Microsoft PSS(Product Support Service), has an application named WELL6 for sizing list boxes in EXCEL. I wasn't able to find any reference for what you want to do. For someone to write the correct code for you would be very expensive, if you can find someone to do it. I know this is not the answer you really wanted, but you asked for an explaination, which I hope I have achieved.
