Global variables (Client to Client)

I need to retain data in a global variable to be retrieved in another form.  I'm using Visual InterDev.  Also, I'm not using a server it is purely client side.  Can anyone help?

Three ways:
send it via URL
send it via hidden field in a form.

the best way:
Use cookies.
